Terms

Last updated 29 July 2026

These terms govern QTRLY, the Making Tax Digital software operated by Easy Insight Limited, and this website, including accounts created during early access. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to them.

Who provides QTRLY

QTRLY is provided by Easy Insight Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15217860). Registered office: 81 Milton Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO3 6AL, United Kingdom. QTRLY is from Easy Insight Limited, makers of Manifold.

Early access

QTRLY is in active development. Early-access features may change, be added or be withdrawn, and we can't promise specific timing for availability or any particular capability. QTRLY does not currently hold a live HMRC production connection: no submission is made to HMRC on your behalf until that connection is live and you have reviewed and authorised it yourself.

What QTRLY is and isn't

QTRLY is a record-keeping and filing-support tool for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. It is not a substitute for professional tax advice, and you remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you submit to HMRC. You must review and confirm every figure and every submission yourself; nothing is sent to HMRC without that confirmation.

Your account

  • Use the service lawfully and only for your own tax affairs.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you suspect your account is compromised.
  • Keep the email address on your account current: it is where notices about the service and these terms go.
  • Make sure the data you enter is accurate and that you are entitled to enter it.
  • Don't attempt to probe, overload or bypass the service's security, introduce malicious code, or access areas you're not authorised to.

Fees

Early-access pricing information is shown on the pricing page. Early access is free, and billing starts only once direct filing to HMRC is live and you have agreed to start paying: we will not begin charging an early-access account on notice alone. Where fees later start or increase, we will give at least 30 days' written notice. Fees are billed through Stripe, and the published monthly price includes VAT.

Your data

The records you enter belong to you, not to us. We process them only to provide the service, as described in our privacy notice.

Our software, your feedback

The QTRLY software and everything in it that we built belongs to Easy Insight Limited. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the product without obligation or charge; this never gives us any right in your records.

What we do not promise

Early access comes without a service-level agreement. We do not promise a specific uptime, response time or feature roadmap, and we do not promise that any given submission can be filed with HMRC before the live connection described above is switched on.

Suspension

We may suspend access, in whole or part, if we reasonably believe it is necessary to deal with a security threat, unlawful use, or a breach of these terms that risks the service or other customers. We give notice where practicable, keep any suspension as narrow and short as we reasonably can, and restore access once the issue is resolved.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time, and either party can end the agreement with 30 days' written notice (email is fine). We can end it immediately if you materially breach these terms and don't fix the breach within 14 days of being told about it. On exit, ask us to delete your data and we will, within the period and on the terms the privacy notice sets out. Records that form part of a submission already made to HMRC, and anything else we must keep by law, are retained for as long as the law requires and then deleted. The notice says plainly which is which.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that:

  • neither party is liable to the other for loss of profit, loss of business or business opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss, however arising;
  • our total liability to you, in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is capped at the greater of the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and £100;
  • you remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the tax information you submit and for meeting your own HMRC obligations. We are not liable for loss arising from a figure or suggestion QTRLY offered that you submitted without the review these terms require;
  • nothing in this section limits your obligation to pay fees due.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. If a change is material, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that date means the updated terms apply. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.

General

These terms are the whole agreement between us about the website and the service. Neither party may transfer the agreement without the other's consent, except that we may assign it within a group reorganisation or a sale of the QTRLY business, on notice and on the same terms. No one other than you and us has rights under these terms. Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably beyond its control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
